THE most audacious insolence towards the English and Welsh people was shown by the Health Minister John Reid when he stated he would not change things or simplify procedure for Continuing Health Care for severely disabled or dementia patients in England and Wales.

That was his answer to the Health Select Committee in the House of Commons.

As MP for Hamilton North, Scotland, his constituency and all the Scottish people enjoy Continuing Health Care funded by the NHS.

However, thanks to John Reid, frail elderly people south of the border must sell their homes to fund their own care.

Then, if they try to obtain the money back from the NHS through the Primary Care Trusts these appear to confuse and frustrate at every turn. These tactics are common throughout every primary care trust in England and Wales. These tactics are so blatant and uniform it seems to have originated at the highest level. Was it from John Reid himself?
