SCRAMBLERS and 4x4 drivers will be swapping engine grease for elbow grease later this month to help clean up parts of the Ridgeway.
Twice a year members of the Green Lane Association (GLASS) a national off-road motoring group take part in the green operation.
The next takes place on Sunday, October 31.
As well as asking its members to pitch in, the group is also encouraging walkers and horseriders to roll up their sleeves.
Specific byways that are in need of attention such as the historic Ridgeway - are being selected for working parties.
