CHIPPENHAM NEWS: A KITCHEN shop in Corsham has pledged to boost the finances of a pre-school by £10,000 using an ingenious scheme.
Kitchens By Design, Newlands Road, has offered to help the Mansion House Pre-school Playgroup raise money for its nursery equipment.
Joint director Roger Anstee said: "It was my idea. We get a lot of requests to give out raffle prizes and make donations and I wanted to do something a little different."
The parents of each child attending the school will be given a £100 voucher off the cost of a new kitchen and the shop will give the pre-school £100 for every voucher redeemed.
"I have children at primary school just outside Corsham and I know how hard it is to raise funds so it is just our bit towards helping the community and at the same time we think we will be helping our business to grow."
The first cheque, for £100, was presented to the school at the end of last month.
