DAVE George fears his side could be dragged into a relegation battle this season unless they start learning from their mistakes.

The Bradford on Avon coach has seen his side struggle with their first few matches in the Southern Counties League and knows improvements have to be made.

Bradford won promotion from the Dorset and Wilts Division One last season and unless things change an immediate return could be on the cards.

Going into Saturday's game Tadley were only two points ahead of Bradford but their fourth defeat in five league matches has left them adrift near the bottom.

George said: "That was a very disappointing defeat on Saturday because Tadley were one of the sides I thought we would have a chance to beat.

"We had a very tough start and lost against some good teams but I still believe we are better than some teams in this division.

"But if we are not careful we will be fighting against relegation.

"We have to stop making mistakes and try to pick up some points as quickly as possible."

Injuries and unavailability did not help Bradford's cause on Saturday and George revealed it was not the first time they have had problems with their build up.

He said: "The week before in our defeat against Redingensians we got to the ground 10 minutes after the planned kick-off.

"The journey was fine until we got into Reading and then we got mixed up in all the football traffic.

"Then this week we had to play a lot of people out of position.

"I had to fill in at scrum half and another of our pack had to play at outside centre.

"Our pack is performing well at the moment but we haven't got that stability in the backs at the moment.

"I would like to select an unchanged side but at the moment that is looking very difficult."
