73130-401RORY Fallon popped up with Town's 'get out of jail' card last night before admitting that he and his teammates cannot keep putting fans through the emotional wringer.

The New Zealander nodded in an 89th-minute winner as Town came back from the dead against Sheffield Wednesday.

Town trailed 2-0 with little over 11 minutes remaining, but goals from Brian Howard, Sam Parkin and then Fallon brought about an astonishing reversal in fortunes.

Last-gasp hero Fallon said: "As much as it's exciting for the fans we can't keep doing this. We need to get in front in games and hold leads."

However, the need to become more consistent did not detract from the striker's obvious delight.

Fallon said: "As for the winning goal, it was a great cross, I just tried to get the whole of my face on the ball and thankfully it's gone in.

"It's one of those nights. I love the game when it's like this.

"If the right ball's put in there then I'll put it away. It's hard to miss them when it's on a gold platter.

"The crowd were class when we got back into it and gave us an extra yard."

Fellow striker Christian Roberts, who was involved in all three goals, described it as "the comeback of all comebacks".

Victory from the jaws of defeat took Town's total for the campaign to 24 and lifted them to seventh place in League One.

And Roberts added: "Points like this could be the difference between us getting promotion and missing out."

Manager Andy King hailed the comeback but admitted he would be analysing just what had gone wrong in the first 70 minutes.

He said: "We have to take this on to Torquay. The question is, can we?"
