Steve White faces the long trek to King's Lynn following another frustrating week in the transfer market.

A fortnight after failing to lure Scott Griffin from Cirencester, his namesake Alan Griffin at Corsham has also turned down a move to Chippenham.

Negotiations with Mark Draycott who has since moved to Supermarine broke down, so White is left with a strike force lacking in numbers and form.

"The boy Griffin didn't want to come here from Corsham and I have to respect his decision," said White.

"We need to bring in a couple of new faces but the problem is we haven't got the money.

"We can't push the boat out like some of our neighbours have done so we have to look at lads from lower leagues and it's difficult to find players capable of stepping up a couple of levels."

Mark Badman remains the only injury problem.

The midfielder's long-running ankle problem will now need an operation which will keep him out until Christmas.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division, Cirencester visit Aylesbury conquerors of Chippenham last weekend.

The Centurions' main fitness worry is manager Brian Hughes who has been off work ill this week.

Otherwise, Ciren are at full strength, with Shaun Wimble shaking off a calf strain.

Swindon Supermarine are without a game as scheduled opponents Ashford Town are still involved in the FA Cup.
