A 70-year-old man has died days after his car collided with a van.
The man, who has not been named, suffered a suspected fractured leg in a crash while driving his Peugeot 206 car at Battleslake crossroads on the B4696 near Wootton Bassett at 2.40pm on Tuesday.
According to police the man was driving along the unclassified road from Pavenhill when he reached the crossroads.
His car failed to stop and it went over the give way line.
It was then struck by a white Ford van driven by a 23-year-old man from Worcestershire. The driver of the Peugeot was taken to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon for treatment, but he died on Christmas Eve. Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, to call Corsham Traffic Department on 01249 654455.
