THE vast majority of yesterday's local non-League programme bit the dust due to frozen pitches.
Chippenham's Southern League clash with Bath was called off, along with Cirencester's trip to Merthyr and Supermarine's trek to Bracknell.
None of the region's Hellenic League sides played either, but the Screwfix First Division derby between Biddestone and Calne did go ahead, with the former surprisingly holding their high-flying visitors to a 1-1 draw.
Calne were understrength but looked to be on course for victory when Matt Pratley bundled home the opener on half an hour. But Biddestone plugged away and levelled in stoppage time through Luke Gillitt.
