STAFF and pupils in Swindon are making their school deaf-friendly.
Shaw Ridge primary has taken steps to make sure that all children with hearing impairments at the school are included in everyday activities alongside other pupils.
They have launched the scheme as part of the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS) 60th anniversary campaign.
The school is following NDCS guidelines on how to be more deaf aware, which include looking at how equipment is positioned and teaching children sign language.
Children who do wear hearing aids have also been speaking to the other children in the school about how it affects their lives.
