MICK HARFORD was expected to be followed into the County Ground today by Rotherham United striker Michael Proctor.

The former Nottingham Forest boss was unveiled as the new assistant manager yesterday and Andy King dropped a heavy hint that it wasn't likely to be the last new face to appear in Wiltshire this week.

Harford was due to take his second training session this morning ahead of tomorrow's clash with Port Vale.

Preparations were given a further boost by the loan capture of the 24-year-old forward from Millmoor, building on the extra spark generated by Harford's arrival.

The Town boss, who lost a tooth in training yesterday as a result of a Sammy Igoe shot slamming into his face, said: "I'm hoping Mick's arrival is a shot in the arm but I think we need two shots in the arm.

"With Mick, who has already had an impact here, and a new face hopefully it will give us that little shove to get us there. We're amongst it and we've got a chance."

King has made no secret that extra goals are his priority with only Sam Parkin finding the net on a regular basis.

You have to go back to November 20 to find the last goal scored by one of Parkin's fellow forwards.

Proctor has scored twice in 14 starts for the struggling South Yorkshire side this season.
