THE question that I would like answered is, are the police going to enforce the new anti-hunting laws or not?

There has been much speculation and many news reports saying that the police do not intend to prioritise these violent acts of injustice to our nature. I am, after all, paying council tax which pays for police funding and I would like them to do so. A law is a law regardless of how rich or noble the perpetrator is.

We have all seen the signs that have been plastered round the countryside telling us that 59 per cent of people support foxhunting.

I personally have my doubts regarding these figures, no one asked me or anyone I know, maybe they mean 59 per cent of pro-blood sport people support hunting.

I would be very interested in seeing the statistics of an Evening Advertiser poll on this subject, as I am sure my views are of the majority.

I would like to add that I'm no staunch activist in this field, just a concerned person who has respect for the wellbeing of animals.
