15416/1GAZETTE & HERALD: UNPRECEDENTED demand for T-shirts in memory of a Foxham mum-of-two who died of cancer last year has led the designer to go to print early.

Adam Lloyd, of Christian Malford, designed the Lions rugby shirts to raise money for Dorothy House Hospice in memory of his friend Sally Watson, who was 57 when she died.

Adam was originally going to have the shirts printed as one batch in May, in time for the start of the Lions tour of New Zealand in June.

However, demand has been such that he is having the first batch printed straight away.

"The response has been brilliant. Orders are already into triple figures and climbing fast", said Adam.

"At this rate there would not be time to print and distribute them all in May so I have decided to do three print runs rather than one."

However, Adam did not want to relax his push to raise the money.

He said: "If I sold 1,000 shirts the profits could keep Dorothy House Hospice Care going for about a day. That's the scale of the challenge."

"We still need to sell as many as possible so keep the orders coming".

Sally Watson spent most of the last year of her life at Dorothy House Hospice after breast cancer spread to other parts of her body.

Each year family friend Adam designs a T-shirt to celebrate a big sporting event and this year he decided to pay tribute to Sally with his Lions tour shirt.

The shirts can be ordered directly from Adam (07985 111354), from Helen Francis at Dorothy House (01225 721480) or from Dorothy House shops, Bath Rugby Club, Chippenham Rugby Club, the Mermaid Inn (Christian Malford), the Wellesley Arms (Sutton Benger) and the White Horse (Biddestone).
