THE net is being tightened by Swindon Council on benefit fraudsters.
The authority's benefit fraud team works closely with employment agencies, and also relies on tip-offs from members of the public.
Coun Nick Martin, pictured, the council's cabinet member for finance, said: "We have undertaken a number of initiatives this year to clamp down on those who cheat the system."
