RE: The article about vandalism to trees in Thames Ave.
There were five saplings planted by the council and two, as you say, were vandalised.
I would like you to know that there are no vandals in this particular area of Greenmeadow.
I do not know if the landlady took the trouble to come and investigate all the way from Fox and Hounds (where I believe vandals are rampant). But in my opinion there is always someone ready to pounce and put the blame on one or two vandals.
As I have said, there were five saplings planted, and only two were broken. I think this could have been the result of a car hitting them.
Before blaming vandals, people at the other end of Haydon Wick should get their facts right.
