WITH regard to the letter from P. Bennett of Bradford on Avon, who was fined for inappropriate parking.

I feel maybe the instances of such parking will be considerably reduced if such fines were spread throughout the town. It is astonishing the amount of drivers who are either too lazy or incapable of correct parking and who flaunt restrictions, notably using those spaces designed for the disabled.

Such selfish driving practices prevent other drivers from being able to park correctly, which sometimes creates a domino effect in a line of spaces.

There have been occasions when I have found it difficult to get into my car having returned to it and found the next vehicle too close to mine.

Having watched some people try to park it is obvious they are oblivious as to where the bay actually is: they often leave their car without a thought for any other motorist.
