RORY FALLON reported back for training with Swindon Town today rejuvenated and raring to go again.

Manager Andy King decided to recall the big New Zealander from his loan spell at Yeovil and the forward is delighted to be back.

Although Fallon, pictured, managed just one goal for the Glovers, he feels a change of scenery has done him the world of good.

He said: "I phoned the gaffer on Monday and he told me I was coming back to Swindon.

"I'm happy about that but I've got a lot out of my time at Yeovil. I think it's helped with sharpness. I've been involved in matches and had the odd reserve match as well.

"The sharpness is a mental and a physical thing. You also get to see a different way of doing things and you pick up ideas when you have a change.

"There's eight games left of the season and I'm raring to go. I just want to be involved and to help the lads push on.

"I'm looking forward to showing the players and the fans that I still have a future at Swindon Town."

It was in the latter stages of the previous campaign that Fallon came to the fore and he is hoping history can repeat itself.

He said: "I had a few opportunities and managed to take them. You just hope you can get in the positions and take the chances when they come along."

Fallon returns at a time when teenage forward Andy Caton is also pushing for a first-team place.

He said: "You know there is going to be competition for places. That's football."

King said: "Rory is coming back to us and will be training with the lads again on Tuesday morning."

The manager was assessing the health of his squad yesterday with both Sammy Igoe and Stefani Miglioranzi having picked up knocks at the weekend.

With transfer deadline day looming it is unclear as yet whether the entrance or exit at the County Ground will be unduly troubled by comings and goings. The manager was glued to his phone yesterday but was giving nothing away.

Sam Parkin has been named in the Football League One Team of the Week after his hat-trick in the weekend's 4-2 victory over Wrexham.
