A SWINDON law firm has found a way to add bounce to its day.

Many staff at Thring Townsend have to negotiate Swindon's Magic Roundabout every morning as their offices are just around the corner in Drakes Way.

And now it has become part of the working day as well as they have teamed up with animation company Bolexbrothers of Bristol.

Bolexbrothers helped redevelop the Magic Roundabout TV series for the recent film version in cinemas across the country.

The off-the-wall cast, including Zebedee, Dougal, Brian and Ermintrude, became loved by the eight million children who tuned in to view the programme which was famous for its sign-off 'Time for bed'.

Thring Townsend is providing general commercial legal advice and support in the development of Bolexbrothers contracts for new projects to ensure the intellectual property rights are protected.

The solicitors have also worked on funding contracts for new animation camera technology.

"Bolexbrothers is one of the most exciting animation outfits in the UK with numerous awards for their unusual techniques and style of animation," said Graeme Fearon, Thring Townsends' head of intellectual property.

"It's in the nature of filmmaking for businesses to be project-specific and this can lead to complexity with funding, intellectual property and tax issues.

"As a studio evolves from short films and commercials to feature-length productions, these issues increase along with the budgets and time frames.

"It's vital to get correct legal advice, especially when dealing with film studios or negotiating funding for work.

"It is wonderful to be working in such a creative industry. The quality of modern animation will no doubt influence a whole new generation of film-makers.

"We are looking forward to helping Bolexbrothers secure future success."
