I LIVE on Faringdon Road and would like to say thank you to the council for taking steps to improve the road.
Firstly I believe that the bottleneck starts in Westcott Place, which is single lane, and the snarl-up lasts for a short time.
The rest of the time traffic runs very freely in both directions.
Swindon has a very good bus service that could take a lot of these cars off the road at busy times. Mr Reeves' attitude (Letters March 15) is typical of selfish car drivers who think their needs come first.
Faringdon Road is a residential area and should be given the same consideration as other residential areas.
