I WOULD like to thank you for carrying the article about the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust Island Challenge to be held at the end of September.
I have decided to take part in this event and help raise money for the charity, and at the same time experience living close to nature for a week.
I have agreed to raise a minimum of £800 in sponsorship and will be holding a car-boot sale later in the year. I would also welcome any sponsorship from individuals and businesses. I know everyone has calls on their cash from various good causes and I intend to suggest people sponsor me for £1 only, unless they are feeling very generous.
Last November I took part in the GWR Firewalk outside the Town Hall in Swindon and that was a very exhilarating experience. I have decided now I am over 50 I am going to pack in as many experiences as I can and grow old disgracefully but usefully. Any sponsorship monies or items for my car boot sale can be sent to me or I will collect.
