The 2005/2006 Trencherman's Guide is a must-have for anyone looking for a wonderful foodie experience in South West England.

Editor of BBC Good Food Magazine, Gillian Carter, has written the 2005/2006 guide's introduction, and Trencherman's has the support of many central figures in the food and drink industry.

Since its launch in 1992, the guide has grown in reputation and size, and focuses on the gastronomic delights of the South West, including outlets ranging from fine dining luxury restaurants to local, traditional pubs. Entries are selected on an invitation-only basis according to Michelin, Which? Good Food and AA Restaurant Guide ratings.

Sixteen new entries have been accepted into this year's edition, including the Queensbury Hotel & Olive Tree Restaurant in Bath.

Many of the restaurants provide accommodation as well as a delicious menu, be it a cosy space above a local pub or large, opulent guest rooms. Two such examples are the Tollgate Inn, Bradford-on-Avon, which boasts log fires and an award-winning chef, and the Cotswold House Hotel in Chipping Campden, where beds are made up with cashmere blankets and Frette linen.

The Trencherman's Guide is free and can be ordered through South West England's 'Sheer Indulgence' website www.indulgesouthwest.co.uk - or by calling the Holiday Line on 0870 442 0880.
