A DELAYED rubbish collection in Haydon Street was caused by gas works.
Rubbish, normally collected on Fridays, was left until Monday because bin men could not get into the street because of the works.
A spokeswoman for Swindon Council said rubbish was collected as soon as it was possible on Monday.
Rubbish was also left uncollected on Bath Road yesterday. The council was investigating why this happened.
