THREE members of the Wootton Bassett Hounds running club are hoping to raise £1,600 when they compete in this year's London Marathon.

The trio have not only set themselves a massive physical challenge but they have also pledged to raise the money for Victa, a charity which helps visually impaired children.

Tony Skeates, Mo Farrell, and Michelle Leighton, who all live in Wootton Bassett, are holding a quiz evening later this month to help with their fundraising.

Michelle is no stranger to fundraising.

In her role as community affairs manager for Nationwide she is chairwoman of this year's Charity Ball, supported by the Evening Advertiser.

Victa helps children by providing support to their families.

The quiz is being held at the Woodshaw Inn in Wootton Bassett on Saturday March 26 at 8pm. Entry costs £2 per person.
