I HAVE long since graduated to the oldest swingers in town set.
My pop music scene was probably Come into the Garden Maude or Red Sails in the Sunset sung by Suzette Tarry. Coming more up to date I seem to remember, somewhere along the way, a record entitled The Boys Are Back In Town.
Coming right up to date, there is no mistaking that The Tories are back in town.
Yes, as a blue badge card holder, registered disabled, I was exiting one of the town centre multi storey car parks today when I was handed a printed notice decreeing that with effect from April 3, 2005 blue badge card holders will have to pay for car parking, hitherto free, in barrier controlled car parks.
The Tories stoop so low as to withdraw a meagre concession from probably the most under-privileged in our community while their leader Michael Howard tries to preach that he is all things to everyone.
Come on blue badge holders, pick up your pens, have your say and protest.
