On contemplating what was on offer at this year's Devizes Festival, I looked back at other Festival
programmes and discovered that during the 1989 Festival on Sunday July 2 at the Devizes School Ground the Devizes Festival played the Marlborough Festival for the Festival Trophy.
Do any of your readers know (a) what sport was played and (b) who took part, singers, violin players, Chamber Orchestra players, actors?, (c) is there a photo of the teams and (d) where now is the Festival Trophy?
