A 36-year-old man suffered severe lacerations to his face after being struck with a glass in a Wootton Bassett pub.
The incident happened shortly after 8pm on Saturday in the Borough Arms in the town's High Street on carnival night.
A 39-year-old man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm, and is due to appear in court in Chippenham on June 9.
