"CYCLE paths are too slow" (EA May 23) was a very interesting and well thought out letter which deserves some comments.

Shouldn't motorists who have access to a main road like the A4312 Oxford Road be cautious when leaving their driveways and look for cyclists and pedestrians, giving way to them if necessary and not the other way round?

Shouldn't those who belong to cycle clubs set a good example to other cyclists and use cycle paths where provided?
