Reading the many letters on the subject it is clear Coate is not the place people want the university built.
I agree with G Chambers (Advertiser May 21), it is not just the university but the 600 homes and business park which will make it a concrete jungle.
Once that countryside is gone it is gone forever.
I would welcome a university being built in Swindon, but where it belongs in the town centre.
I hope the council takes notice of the many letters written and the petition by the 17,000 people against the Coate Water site.
