I MUST congratulate Barrie Hudson on his unique style of writing. He has the ability to raise serious issues in a poignant yet humorous way.

On May 14 he questioned the complacency of Vodafone which want s to site a mobile phone transmission mast opposite the Tregoze Primary School playground. This technology is in its infancy and nobody can categorically state that detrimental effects to health will not occur from constant exposure to emissions from these masts.

I do, however, suspect that Mr Hudson is correct when he implies that mobile phone bosses would not want their children exposed to the possible adverse effects.

On May 21 Mr Hudson wrote another excellent article questioning the incompetence that exists at Swindon Borough Council.

There are without doubt many good conscientious frontline employees working for the council.

There are also incompetent managerial timeservers.

I hope Swindon councillors read Mr Hudson's views and will carefully consider how to resolve the council's poor managerial and inefficiency problems.

I look forward to reading more of Barrie Hudson's witty and searching views in his off the wall sideways look at life.
