THE CHIEF executive of the Connexions careers advice service in Wiltshire and Swindon has praised youngsters for producing a leaflet on anti social behaviour.
Rabindra Shah said the youngsters have produced a worthwhile and responsible guide for their age group.
The leaflet was produced as part of a Positive Activities for Young People project and was funded by the Community Safety Partnerships in Swindon.
It is entitled Ask Auntie Asbo and gives advice to young people on how to get on in their local communities.
Currently it is being distributed to 40,000 students in schools and youth organisations in Swindon and Wiltshire.
Mr Shah said: "The young people took this project very seriously and have produced a very worthwhile and responsible guide for their peers.
"This is a perfect example of the good results that young people can achieve when they are given the opportunity to be involved in interesting and fulfilling projects."
Cheri Wright, anti social behaviour co-ordinator for Swindon Council said: "We actively seek to involve young people in this type of project, as it highlights the fact that young people can be victims of anti social behaviour."
