SWINDON residents are still being told to keep on the lookout for leaflets claiming to be collecting clothes to send to third world countries.
The Cycle Aid leaflets had been distributed to homes around the town.
They claim to be collecting clothes for poor countries, but small print at the bottom of the leaflet states 'Cycle Aid is not a charity'.
Lionel Starling, pictured, from Swindon Council said: "These clothes often end up in the markets of Bulgaria and Romania, where they are sold on. I am not sure they would like to be classed as third world," he said.
"The leaflet could deceive people who do not, or can not, read the small print."
Mr Starling advises anyone who wishes to donate clothes to give directly to charity shops, or use collecting bags supplied by mainstream charities.
