Town councillors could soon be handing out cans of coke to the public while aboard a carnival float in the shape of Malmesbury Town Hall.
It's the latest initiative from mayor Jacky Martin to raise people's awareness about the future of the hall.
The district council own the building and have threatened to sell it unless £750,000 can be found to make it comply with disability legislation.
Last month town councillors decided to buy the building and county councillor John Thomson issued cans of Diet Coke to demonstrate how little people would have to pay to save the building.
Town councillors Patrick Goldstone and Ann Davis have already agreed to take part in the town's carnival procession on September 3.
Coun Martin said: 'It would show we are all together in fighting for the hall.
"I would also like groups who use the hall to join us as pedestrians."
For more information about joining the float, call deputy town clerk Sue Webb on (01666) 822143.
