BIDDESTONE coach Paul Rose has said the club is looking for some experience to help their young guns through the season.

Rose pointed to the example of Calne Town boss Rob Lardner who helped his side to promotion playing under Kelvin Highmore's managerial prowess last year.

Rose said: "When I was playing there were lots of players in the Western League who were into their mid to late thirties but there are very few now.

"Last year there was Rob Lardner but that was about it.

"But I can guarantee those players at Calne learnt more from playing alongside Rob than they would have if they were just a side in the Western League.

"We have a lot of young players and they are some of the best young players I have worked with so I know they will do well."

Rose said former Biddestone player Tim Tasker had trained with the club this week but did not know whether he wanted to join on a permanent basis.

He also revealed the club are still interested in Eddie Drury, who is also wanted by Calne and Melksham, but that any final move would have to wait until manager Gary Skidmore was back from holiday.
