GAZETTE & HERALD: STUDENTS from John Bentley School in Calne have been delivering their ideas for redesigning a section of the town's Castlefields Park.
The sixth-formers made presentations at the annual general meeting of CARP, the Castlefields Canal and River Park association, on Thursday.
CARP, which received £25,000 from the Living Spaces scheme to develop a 'pocket garden' in the park by the River Marden, set the students three challenges.
They were asked to design a willow garden, a sensory garden and a fitness trail.
Geography teacher at John Bentley, Vicky Kennedy, was delighted at how the students had approached the project.
She said: "They went away and did tons of research.
"They did practice presentations and then they delivered their ideas to the CARP AGM.
"It was great because the people from CARP were incredibly supportive and they gave them great feedback. I was very proud of them."
