Ban spectators from the cemetery: I was appalled at your article about people gathering at the cemetery in Highworth to watch the Fairford Air Show.
I was born in Highworth, and I have lived in the United States for about 12 years. I have, until now, always been proud of the fact the Brits have such a sense of class.
My mother and father are buried in the cemetery at Highworth, and I had always told my husband to make sure that when I died, I would be sent home and buried in the same cemetery as my family. I will think seriously about that decision now.
To think that it is acceptable to have people using such a place of respect as a public park, quite frankly turns my stomach.
I do hope that people will decide to stop the disrespectful behaviour and let the dead rest with the quiet dignity that they deserve.
