AS secretary of Marlborough Local History Group, I have received an enquiry from the descendants of William and Edith (nee Crowe) Smith, who were married about 1900 and lived at 24 The Parade, Marlborough.
William was a professional cricketer and played for Wiltshire.
Mrs Crowe sadly died in 1904 and their children were brought up by an aunt.
Edith was the daughter of Lionel Crowe who ran the tannery from 1861 and lived at 1 Angel Yard. The family also had links with 3 Albert Terrace, Marlborough.

Mr Coleman would also like to trace a street map of the town dating from the turn of the 19th century.
