Following the discontinued use of The Spitalcroft allotment site in Devizes resulting from the proposed use for housing development, the committee of the allotment association has decided to disband, close the present financial account with Lloyd's Bank and donate the content of the account to the cancer unit fund of the Royal United Hospital, Bath.
Several of our members have died from cancer in recent years and the committee thought it fitting that the monies should be donated to this fund. I have therefore closed the account and forwarded a cheque for £197.80p to the treasurer of the cancer unit fund.
