Tunnel Vision, brewed by Box Breweries, won the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) Beer of the Festival award at this year's Chippenham Beer Festival.

Marshall Ewert, landlord of The Bear at Box, who owns the brewery with Mark Hempleman-Adams, brother of the famous explorer David, said he was delighted.

"We are very pleased, over the moon really," he said.

"We've only been going a year and that's the first one we've won."

Tunnel Vision, a full-bodied, refreshing and fruity traditional bitter, sold out at the festival in April and the pair were presented with a certificate last week.

About 50 beers were sampled, including local rivals Bath Ales, Abbey Ales and Moles, and Tunnel Vision beat them all to be named Beer of the Festival.

Tunnel Vision also took part in the Great British Beer Festival this week and its owners plan to take it to other festivals across the country.
