The Hawaii girls from Bradford on Avon hope the rain will stay away (17367/38)WEST WILTS SHOW 2005: CHINA, cheese and cycles were the highlights of the Bradford on Avon tent at the West Wilts Show. Tillions china shop was voted the best stand in the tent but there was plenty more on offer.

The award-winning cheese shop Cheeseboard was offering samples alongside a range of other businesses.

Inspirations Holistic Centre, the Bradfordians drama society and the Ale and Porter arts centre were all represented.

Town clerk Diane Holmes said: "We had a raffle for the new youth club that is going to be held at the Black Cat, which is part of the Riverside Inn.

"The town council has given them a grant of £500 but we also raised £100 through the raffle for them.

"The Duke of Westminster came in and we were very pleased to see him.

"The mayor showed him round and he chatted to the Bradfordians and asked them lots of questions."

The new youth club will run between 7.30pm and 9.30pm on Wednesdays.

Caroline Philpott who runs Tillions with her dad Malcolm Tillion said: "I felt the Bradford tent gave a very good portrayal of what the town has to offer.

"There was a good mix of retail and community stands like the Lions and the Tourist Information Centre.

"What was really nice is that people were all in groups chatting and that is exactly what it is like in the town, people getting together and catching up."
