A TEENAGER was robbed, beaten to the floor and kicked in the face in a town centre assault. The 16-year-old was attacked on the town bridge in Bradford on Avon on Sunday by a pair of thugs who stole his wallet and personal CD player.

Shortly before the incident, at about 11pm, one of the men approached three girls aged 15 to 16 at the bus stop on the bridge. He frisked the pockets of one girl but took nothing, then the pair approached the boy on the opposite side of the road.

They stole the items from his backpack and one of the men then punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground.

He was then kicked in the face.

They escaped to the St Margaret's car park where they drove away in a small silver or grey car.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the incident or the car.
