CIRENCESTER Town entertain Bristol Rovers in their final pre-season friendly tomorrow.
The Southern League premier outfit have already played Football League opposition in Orient and Swindon Town but on this occasion will not face any first teamers.
"We had tried Rovers but to no avail," explained boss Brian Hughes. "We thought Bishops Cleeve would be our last.
"But then Tony Ricketts got in touch and although the first team are at Barnet in the league said they would bring everyone else who was available to play.
"I readily agreed as we wanted a proper warm-up game, a decent friendly on our own pitch, with only a week to go before the start of our new season.
"It will give us the opportunity to try out a few things against decent opponents.
"Things have gone well pre-season and we have strengthened the squad and are all looking forward to a successful campaign we just want to get better."
