Bond girls Caroline Munro and Trina Parks, with Steve Goss Picture Ref: 78737-34HOLLYWOOD glitz and glamour swept through Swindon with the arrival of not one, but two Bond girls.

And they came with a licence to thrill their fans.

Trina Parks, who played Thumper alongside Sean Connery in Diamonds Are Forever, was joined by Caroline Munro, who was Naomi in The Spy Who Loved Me alongside Roger Moore.

Trina, 58, is currently starring as a singer and dancer in The Fabulous Palm Spring Follies, a three-hour tribute to Broadway which running in America. She is the first, and only, African-American woman in the show's 13-year run.

She said of her Bond role: "I never thought it would still have such an impact. We are just so blessed."

Caroline, 55, added: "I love doing events like this. It is just amazing when you look out you see dads, who are with their sons. It has spanned the generations."

Steve Goss, managing director of Infinitely Better in the Brunel Centre, said: "It is really great to have them in Swindon.

"We have been running the Bond girls theme for a while and it is going really, really well.

"This one is especially important as it is Trina's first signing in the UK."

Some adoring fans were waiting outside the store at the start of the event and there was a constant procession of fans throughout the evening.

The next Bond girl appearing at the store is Molly Peters, who played Patricia Fearing in Thunderball.

She will be signing autographs in the store on Thursday, September 22.
