FIREFIGHTERS had to rescue a woman trapped in a lift at a town centre shop.
The crew from Swindon were called to British Home Stores, in Regent Street, just after 3pm yesterday. They arrived within minutes and released the woman who was trapped between the first and ground floors. The woman was safe and well and the crew were back at the station at 3.30pm.
