IF Swindon needs a university it should be built in town. Young people need the eating and drinking places for their social life.
If Swindon Council is paying more than lip service to an eco-friendly existence, they certainly would not plan to have thousands of students travelling to Coate and back several times a day.
There is no shortage of obsolete sites in town and for the recreation site why not approach the owners of the now derelict British Railways sports ground. This is a premium site and a designated sports ground.
