Homeless people across North Wiltshire will benefit from a harvest supper held by the St Edmund Lodge of Freemasons in Calne.
More than 70 people turned out for the event on Saturday, bringing all sorts of food, which will be donated to Doorway, the Chippenham charity working with homeless people.
Freemason Barry Cooper said: “Master of the Lodge, Vince Hulbert and his wife, Gill, chose the Chippenham branch of Doorway as the recipients of these donations. This is a very worthwhile, but rarely mentioned charity within our area, supporting the young who have fallen on harder times.
“Following a short harvest festival service conducted by Dr Tony Milsom, the assembled gathered for a traditional supper.
“This event will become an annual event in the calendar.”
