A date has been set for a new trial of Karl Quincey who is accused of the murder of Barry Cooper in Devizes in June last year.

Quincey, 33, who denies murdering Mr Cooper, will stand trial at Winchester Crown Court on March 1. The case is listed for two to three weeks.

Mr Cooper, who was 28 and of Eastleigh Road, Devizes, was found bleeding in the passageway of a block of flats in Victoria Road, Devizes, on June 27 last year. He died the following day at the Great Western Hospital, Swindon, of multiple stab wounds.

Quincey, who at the time was lodging with friends in Longcroft Avenue, Devizes, stood trial for Mr Cooper’s murder in June this year but on the ninth day the trial ended due to legal reasons.
