In an exciting weekend of semi-finals played at Leafy Lane, Chippenham Town Youth secured places in the U13 and U10 finals.

CT Youth u13 White took on Trowbridge Town on Saturday and always looked comfortable as they romped to an 8-0 victory.

Trowbridge Town battled throughout the match and never gave up but found it difficult to cope with an in form Chippenham team who now look forward to a final v Melksham Town A.

CT Youth u10 White keep their hopes of a league and cup double alive as the defeated Melksham Town Saints 2-0 in a tense but exciting semi-final.

Chippenham Town took a very early lead thanks to a fine finish from Harry Cook which took Melksham by surprise.

Melksham then came back at Chippenham and made some good chances but exceptional defending from William Christopher and Jack House kept them out.

The midfield dynamos Danny Wright, Ollie Wells and Harry Cook created many opportunities for the explosive Luis Nyman as Chippenham looked to extend their lead and calm the nerves of the anxious fans.

The introduction of Daniel Billett and Dylan Hatt added an additional creativity to the team and late in the second half goal scored by Luis Nyman scored what was to prove the decisive goal.

Melksham did press forward but were unable to get the ball past the supremely impressive TJ Sett who guarded the Chippenham goal with guile.

At the final whistle the fans of Chippenham Town celebrated the victory whilst recognising the efforts of Melksham Town who played very well ensuring a keenly fought match.

Chippenham Town Youth U10 White now look forward to a final versus local rivals FC Chippenham in May.
