Trowbridge Town defended stoically. They responded by pressuring Castle Combe, with their keeper making a superb save to block a Trowbridge Town free kick.

Trowbridge continued to press, starting to assert their dominance, which was firmly stamped on the game when Sam Robbins beat the Castle Combe keeper to put Trowbridge ahead.

Castle Combe rallied and fought their way back into the game producing an end to end battle. Trowbridge went in to the second half with the advantage of being a goal up but soon found themselves being pushed back by a forceful Castle Combe side.

Despite some excellent saves by Trowbridge keeper Toby Murden, Castle Combe drew level.

Trowbridge then stepped up their game and almost immediately took the lead again courtesy of George Penny, closely followed by a chip over the keeper from Sam Brake to earn Trowbridge a 3–1 win and a much deserved place in the Final.
