In very wet and windy conditions and on a fairly waterlogged pitch, Trowbridge Town Youth A showed their mettle against a strong Lydiard team to reach the final of the County Cup.

Ellis Farion opened the scoring early on for Trowbridge, quickly followed by a second when Benny Shaw got a head to an accurate corner kick.

George Penny made it 3 -0 before half time.

Lydiard battled on forcing Trowbridge keeper Toby Murden to execute some good saves and even when Kyle Webb added a 4th goal for Trowbridge, Lydiard kept the pressure on and threatened through-out but Trowbridge were determined to win and looked like scoring at any time.

Try as they might Lydiard could not keep Murden from yet another clean sheet and Trowbridge won through to the final scoring 35 goals along the way with only 1 in reply.
