At the meeting last week, a couple of people complained that busses low the traffic down. They were mainly referring to the stop opposite the Crammer. They felt that the bus should pull into a lay-by to allow the cars, most of which only contain one person, to pass unimpeded.
That's fine in principle but, in practice, it just serves to show how selfish people can be. The 49 pulls into a lay-by opposite Focus. Most people know that it'll be turning off again to go down towards Bishops Cannings but do they let it back out? Do they bunnies! Same happens up at Avebury Trusloe and on the Salisbury bus at Shewton.
So long as so many car drivers demonstrate this selfish attitude to bus users then stuff 'em - they can wait.
