DEFENDING Premier Division champions Corsham Centre A got the new season under way with a 3-1 success at Holt to hand new boss Martin Bradfield a winning start.

Holt goalkeeper Nick Corbett was in fine form before Shane Godsell finally beat him to open the scoring a minute before half-time.

James Lye doubled the Centre's lead and James Cauldwell made the game safe with number three.

In Division Two, AFC Melksham were the highest scorers of the day as they ran riot with an 18-0 win against Eastlands FC (formerly Chippenham Police).

Wayne Bailey, Steve Pegler and Owen Bryant hit four goals each, Kane Udeh scored a hat-trick and Mike Callaghan, Ashley Groves and an own goal sealed the rout. Hullavington started their second season in Division Two with an 11-2 win over Christian Malford.

Ed Wilkins scored seven goals, with James Nations, Ben Wright, two, and Jake Fisher also netting for Hullavington.

Adie Bray and Gary Mitchell scored for Malford.

Pheasant FC beat Audley FC 7-3 thanks to goals from Tom Jones, Paul Poiner, Dan Clements, Nat Auckland, Gary Lock, two, and John O'Meara.

Chris Yeo, two, and Mark Nolan replied for Audley.

Newly promoted Biddestone White Horse claimed a 7-0 win over Pig and Whistle United.

Their goals came from Rob Murphy, two, Tamlyn Goodrich, two, Scott Fleming, Graham Nicholson and Ben Morris.

The Crown Devizes came from 1-0 down to beat Sutton Benger 2-1.

Matt White put Benger ahead but Andrew Beavan-Witts scored two rare headers to win it for The Crown.

AFC Bell were beating Affordable Mortgages Villa 3-1 when their match on the Devizes Town ground was abandoned after 75 minutes following a serious injury to Villa player Charles Ryan, who suffered a broken leg after a fair challenge from a Bell player.

Craig Townsend (two) and Luke Enderby had scored for the Bell and Darren Clements had hit the target before referee Maurice Chilcott had to call a halt to proceddings.

In Division Three, Lavington (Sunday) claimed a convincing 6-0 victory over near neighbours Crown FC.

Myles Hickton's four goals and Craig Campbell's double sealed the rout.

Goals from Sam Paget and Freddie Paget weren't enough to save Bromham (Sunday) from a 5-2 defeat against Three Crowns United.

Luke Stoneham, Kelvin Page, two, Steve Carwithen and Paul Maddox netted for Three Crowns.

Southwick Wanderers overturned a half-time deficit to beat Corsham Park Rangers 2-1.

Wanderers fell behind on 25 minutes when Rangers new boy Scott Worthing scored his first goal for the club.

But Damien Shepherd's brace sealed the win for Wanderers.

Trowbridge Town Supporters' Club twice came from behind to claimed a 2-2 draw with Pack Horse Rangers.

Andrew Johnson and Chris Ferris netted for Pack Horse, with Chris Penelhum and Steve Russell replying for the supporters.

In Division Four, Melksham Jagerbar beat fellow Division Four newcomers Cavaliers 4-3 thanks to a late winner from Nick Ridout.

The Devizes-based Cavaliers had earlier come from 3-0 down with goals from Matty Messenger, Aaron Kyte and Delvin Kean cancelling out Gary Higdon, Dave Castle and James Eatough's strikes for Jagerbar British Lion earned a 4-2 victory at Somerford in their opening game of the season.

All six goals came in the second half with the first falling to the visitors when Jamie Lloyd-Davies found himself with space and fired a shot low into the corner on 56 minutes.

Somerford upped the tempo and found the equaliser through an own goal by Alex Surman. They went in front with a superb 25 yard strike from Kevin Foster.

The Lion's youngsters began to roar and soon found themselves back in the game on 75 minutes through Lloyd-Davies.

Lloyd-Davies completed his hat-trick to put Lion in the lead and substitute Scott Stroud sealed the win late on.

Westbridge Re-United claimed an 8-2 victory over Kings Arms.

The Arms were unlucky in front of goal and had they taken their chances after going in front through a Darren Folkard effort things may have been different.

Westbridge fought back and were on level terms thanks to player/manager Paul Bendell, who squared things up.

And they were in charge at the interval as goals from Chris Styles, Paul Daly and Shaun Bennett gave them a 4-1 lead.

The second period saw Westbridge bag another four goals with Daly adding his second of the contest.

Milan Kuzma and Jamie Hancock's stunning long range effort made up the eight.

White Horse FC and Chippenham West End, who both suffered relegation at the end of last season, met at the cement works in Westbury and it was White Horse who claimed a morale-boosting 1-0 victory.

Having beaten North Star B in their final match of last season, AFC Lyneham were hoping that they could repeat their 4-2 success.

But a new look Star side under the management of former AFC Calne player Liam Westland had other ideas and thumped their hosts 12-2.
